My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The writing is targeted to a young audience and while there are all the traditional fantasy elements I sense the young authors could write for an older crowd. They packed so much into each chapter and if developed further could easily attract older readers. If I was younger I would probably give it 3 or 4 stars. Great effort for a talented Aussie writer.
